The following estimates reflect a typical amount you could expect to pay for your first year if you enroll in a full course load (the maximum number of courses allowed—e.g. 30 credit units for Arts and Science students) in the fall and winter terms (Sept.-April).

Student fees
In addition to tuition, you will also pay student fees, which are used to fund benefits and services that would not be considered part of normal instructional costs, including:
- Access to USask athletic facilities and recreation programs
- Huskies game tickets
- Wellness and accessibility services
Fees are also collected on behalf of your student union (USSU) to fund their operations and provide benefits including:
- U-PASS student transportation pass
- Health and dental insurance

Textbooks and supplies
The cost of books and supplies varies widely depending on the courses you choose. It is recommended that you budget between $1,500-$2,500 per year.
Residence and food
At USask, students are not required to live on campus, and housing—or residence—and meal plans are not included in tuition or student fees. You can use the financial planning estimator tool to estimate costs related to housing, food, and other costs of living both on- and off-campus.
